5 Amazing Apps You Never Knew Existed

Apps can offer everything from entertainment to organization. No matter what you need or have in mind, there’s probably already an app for it. The app store on your phone seems almost endless. Being that there are over one million apps available to iOS and Android users, there’s no way that you can look through every single app unless you have a huge amount of time on your hands.

So instead of spending your days searching through numerous pages of apps, just check the internet. A simple Google search should point you in the right direction; it may have even led you here. To save you some time on your search and get you started, here are 5 amazing apps you never knew existed.

ExpressVPN

Since your smartphone is constantly connected to the internet, chances are you could use some security on it. ExpressVPN gives you that, and then some. It encrypts your connection, unblocks websites, hides your location and lets you surf the net anonymously.

If you’ve never heard of a Virtual Private Network (VPN) before, it’s a remote server that acts as a sort of secure tunnel. Your internet traffic gets routed through the server, and since there are several different locations to choose from and many other people using the same server as you, it’s nearly impossible for anyone to figure out your identity or where you’re residing.

There are uses for a VPN that go beyond just protecting your personal information too; it’s not uncommon to come across sites that are blocked based on regional restrictions, but with ExpressVPN, you’ll still have access to them. That means that if you’re paying for subscription service, such as Hulu Plus, you can view it from any location so that you aren’t wasting your money on a service that you can’t take advantage of just because you’re traveling or happen to move overseas.

ExpressVPN can be used on your smartphone, tablet and computer, so you won’t have to use an unsecure connection on any of your devices. Because of its strong encryption, you’ll be protecting yourself from hackers and identity theft, all for less than $15 a month.

Duolingo

If you’ve ever wanted to learn a second language, but never had the chance, Duolingo is an app that you want on hand. Duolingo allows you to learn a second language for free, and in a way that is easy to understand and remember. Every lesson is presented with multiple choice answers, text, and audio.

The app turns learning into a fun experience by using a points system that lets you level up over time and access new lessons. Currently, 13 different language courses are available for English speakers, with more coming soon. To keep you motivated, Duolingo records the amounts of days in a row that you spend learning, so it’s easier for you to keep up with the lessons on a regular basis.

Duolingo is currently available for iOS, Android, Windows Phone and even your computer, so just about everyone can access what it has to offer.

Torrents are now available on your smartphone! With the µTorrent app, you can search for and download both torrent files and magnet links on your Android. You can also store and play music and audio files on their integrated media player.

Downloading anything can run through your data quick, but with their Wi-Fi only mode, µTorrent makes it easy for anyone to be able to torrent files on the go regardless of their data plan. There’s also no size or speed limits, and its main features are free to use. There’s a Pro version available for those who don’t care for the in-app ads and also want to save some battery life, but whichever version you choose, you’ll still be able to download torrents and use the media player.

Finding Apps

There’s no doubt about it: there’s an app available to suit almost everyone’s needs and interests. Finding them is the tricky part. The easiest way to find new apps is to search different keywords in the app store specific to your OS, but you can also find them through internet searches as well.

Though not every app you come across will be amazing (many are still working out their kinks), there’s a chance that you’ll find a lot that are. New apps are being released all the time, and if you keep up the search and also browse through articles on the net, you’re bound to find what you’re looking for.
